Informal networking event:

QIn case of an informal networking event does the event have a program or speakers?
A: No it is an open, non-sponsored informal networking event without any program or speakers.

Q: Can I receive a letter of invitation for visa?
AWe do not provide letters of invitations for visa. You will need to take care of your visa application yourself.

Q: What requirements do I need to fulfill in order to participate?
A: None.

However, the event is only relevant to you, if you are a professional from Africa or your business is engaged in Africa. The emphasis of Africa Networking Events is on the live meeting and networking of the fellow executives, entrepreneurs and business owners. Less powerpoints, more networking, that is our philosophy. Business meets business, especially for the smaller and medium sized businesses engaged in Africa.

The event itself is for free; however as it is an open, non-sponsored informal networking event, you are responsible for your own entertainment, food and drinks.

Q: Can we get a special deal for accommodation?
A: That depends per event. Sometimes, the host has made an arrangement with the hotel of venue that participants get a special deal if they make a booking with the hotel. This will be communicated in advance.

In any case, we would advise to refer to the Africa Networking Event, if you make your reservation but there may be not a fixed special deal available for the hotel.

Q: How do I register for an event?
A: You go to our site and the select the specific event on the homepage or the event page. There you click register and you will be guided to complete the registration successfully.

Please note, that by registering you will not become automatically a member of Africa Networking Events. You can become member by clicking the word member at the top right of the website.

Q: How do I pay?
A: You can pay with a credit card, PayPal and some other European options.

Q: Do I need to print out my event ticket?
A: Yes, as soon as you has registered for a event we will send you a download link to your tickets. The ticket can be printed out or saved as a PDF file

A: If you are interested in our B2B events about Africa and in networking, we would advise you to become member of Africa Networking Events:

The advantages of being a member are as follows:

  • You will receive the Africa Networking Events newsletter, including all details of upcoming events
  • All membership profiles come with the required upload of the member’s photo, so you can recognize someone at a real life event

A: We want you to provide as much information as needed for a good networking experience. The more complete your profile, the more another member can see whether networking with you is relevant for mutual business interests.

Q: How do I change my password?
You change your password by logging into the member section and then click Profile- Settings
A: If you forgot your password, you can go to the login page and click “the lost your password” button.

Q: How do I change my email- address?
A: To change your email address you need to login into your account. Then go to Settings and change your email-address.

Q: What is expected from me?
A: It depends of the category of event you want to organize. In case of an informal networking event, we do more or less most of the work. The more formal an event becomes, eg when it comes with a program or speaker, some event organization experience is desired.

A: The tickets come with a QR and bar-code and can be scanned. And we can also provide you with an attendee list by mail.
